Winter of Martorn
Deck the halls with boughs of sea holly: It's going to be a Martorn holiday season! With the support of a grant awarded from Konstnarsnamnden (The Swedish Arts Grants Committee), Emma Michaelsen is flying to the US to meet with Art Bertik to scheme the next installment of Martorn musical mayhem! Of course, they will be taking every precaution in accordance with COVID-19 restrictions.
Winter is the time of dark nights, cold snow, and mysterious frost. The moody, atmospheric melodies of Martorn embody the spirit of the season. So treat yourself to the gift that keeps on giving: Melodic black metal! It doesn't get any more festive than this. After all, Swedish black metal is always a hit for door-to-door carolers. Trust us, your neighbors will love it.
Meeting at an undisclosed studio in the US, the band will be recording new material. You'll pine over these tracks, ornamented with exquisite compositions. These original songs are scheduled for release in the near future. Singles? An EP? A full length album? Only time can tell. Go ask the ghost of Christmas Future. Stay tuned!
Until next time, scary Xmas to all, and to all a good fright!
