GROAMVILLE This stoner metal outfit was formed in California around 2008.  Lead vocalist Sam Sibilsky, guitarist Art Bertik, bassist Pascual Romero (In This Moment, Pathology), and drummer/percussionist Wes Hall (Burning Jet Black, Billie Jean) have been kicking ass for several years. The 2014 release of their EP, ‘Welcome to Groamville…’, is a morbid specimen of trippy doom rock. In addition to this debut EP, they also have a history playing live shows. A platform for underground punk and metal acts, Club My War O))), has hosted Groamville performances around the Hollywood, CA area. Keith Hernandez and Ryan King alternated as additional guitarists for these live shows.

Gratuitous with thick, sticky riffs which are heavily distorted, certain tracks interrupt the swampy pace with unexpectedly intricate solos. Clean vocals are blues-inspired, in the vein of early metal like Black Sabbath and Deep Purple.  Slow burning, downtempo beats support the smoldering rhythms and dank melodies. The crunchy instrumentation results in a mind -altering soundscape.  The vocals are haunting and mysterious.

Ominous and foreboding, the atmospheric songs are sinister. Like black storm clouds looming over a vast desert, this darkly psychedelic music evokes a feeling of dread.  Their groggy tunes create an eerie sense of doom and gloom.  This is an underground, obscure gem of stoner rock with heavy sludge.  Their music will fit in perfectly with other doom metal cult classics.
