DEVIL'S THRONE
This blackened doom metal band was conceptualized by guitarist/vocalist Pascual Romero (Pathology, In This Moment, Dysphotic) while he lived with Art Bertik Marquez (Despite Loyalty, Prainbork, Groamville) in Burbank, CA. Bertik contributed with songwriting and instrumentation. They were later joined by bassist Niels Hansen (St. Victims, Atrophic Wound, Heavensake), drummer Ben Durfee (As In We, Dysphotic) vocalist Ashley Romero (One Theory), and guitarist Randy Montoya.

Named after a precarious rock formation in New Mexico, this desert-dwelling band is true to their roots. The local inspiration is apparent to audiences in the American Southwest. However, the melodic metal influences of Scandinavia, and other international localities, leave their mark as well. Playing at venues like Evangelo’s Cocktail Lounge, a historic bar near Santa Fe’s downtown plaza, Devils Throne have put themselves on the map. The band is signed to Entelodon Records, an independent record label with a variety of genres under their repertoire. Together, Devil’s Throne creates a unique musical soundscape.
